  • What is EnquireKerala?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

In its basic form, EnquireKerala is an online job portal. But that's just on the outside. Inside, you will find that it is in no way similar to conventional job portals. That is because EnquireKerala focuses on blue-collar jobs.

With an enviable footprint in Kerala, or in India for that matter, this free service lets tradesmen/workers find work in their near vicinity, helping them support their families doing the job they are good at. Be it a plumber, electrician or even a coconut-tree climber, you will find workers matching your requirements from all over Kerala here.

And it's not limited to workers, even home owners, service providers and businesses can find reliable and skilled workers to take up their projects, on a part-time or full-time basis. Not just jobs, you can also make use of EnquireKerala as a platform where you can find takers for your various products and services.

Users can also request for 'Quotes', for the services/products they require, through which other vendors or workers can submit their proposals. The user can then make their decision based on the interaction they have with the ones who have got back to their open call. This ensures that one gets the best deal, every time.

Moreover, businesses too can make use of our directory to advertise their wares through us. This ensures their products good exposure, and also help businesses to present their products straight to the target audience.

    Sound like a too-good-to-be-true salesman's pitch?

Well, it isn't. Just give it a try and you will know for sure!

  • But how does EnquireKerala make sure one does not get cheated?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

This is the interesting part. Both the groups – employees and employers, which includes home owners and businesses – will be rated by both parties engaged in the deal. This rating, or as we call it, the performance review system, makes sure that, at the end of the day, nobody gets fleeced.

  • How is this done?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

Well, each of your work will be rated by your employers or employees. The rating will be visible as Stars which will be visible to anyone who views your profile. For instance, a 5 star rating signifies that the employer/employee is reliable.

In addition to this, recruiters and workers can also give positive or negative reviews about the particular worker or hirer.

Based on this information, one can make intelligent decisions whether to hire or take-up a particular job offer.

  • Once there's a black mark, how can one get back to making things right?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

One should always be careful while taking up work. Quality and reliability are things we at EnquireKerala do not compromise on. And it is for this sole reason that we don't get involved in such cases.

However, there are times when the situation requires us to step in and take action. If you are one aggrieved user and wish to take it up with us, check whether you belong to any of the below three categories.

    1. If you have a valid court order directing EnquireKerala to remove a review, we will be more than happy to delete it for you.
    2. If the said review contains racist, defamatory, purely non-sensical comments and/or personal details, cross-links to other websites, etc, we will take it down for you.
    3. If EnquireKerala feels the review is an abuse of the services of EnquireKerala, the review can be removed.

Now, if you don't fit the bill of any of these categories, the review is likely to stay. But don't let it bring down your spirits, rather take it as a challenge and make sure you make up for your past mistakes on your future works.

  • What sort of information will be asked during registration? Is this advisable?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

It's perfectly safe. You will be asked only to divulge basic information. Details like your full name, locality, contact details, qualification, previous employers, and the like.

You can choose to limit giving out information about yourselves. But keep in mind, the more information you give about yourself, the better are your chances of finding work. And when you choose to withhold info, employers will not be able to make the decision easily.

  • How does the quote function work? How do I use it?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

Once registered, users will be able to search for jobs available in one's particular trade. These jobs are posted by house-owners or businesses. Some of these jobs will be basic and hence, won't require one to give a quotation to the employer. For instance, a house-owner requiring a coconut-tree climber for a day wouldn't ask for a quotation before hiring a particular person.

But expert jobs will require specialists to first offer a quotation which has to be approved by the employer before he/she decides to take it forward. In such cases, the employer will ask specifically for a quote. For example, a house-owner looking to construct a wall will need to know how much it will cost him and in what time the job can be completed.

To respond to such queries, simply click on the listed job, read the requirements thoroughly. You may use the Contact button in case you need additional info. You can then send your queries to the job poster, asking what particular information you require about the project.

Once you have all details ready, you can submit your Quote to the job poster. The job poster compares all the quotes submitted and decides based on the merits associated. Once you have submitted a quote, you will find that particular job in your 'Job list'.

If after working out the finer details with the potential employer, you are not satisfied with the project, you can always choose to not take up the work by clicking on the Drop Job option. In doing so, the employer is then free to choose the next best quote, or even modify the existing post based on his interaction with the respondent.

  • I'm unable to login, what should I do?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

This mostly never happens unless if its indeed a wrong password that the user entered. But yes, on our part, this can also happen if some maintenance is going on with the website.

But before going into all that, it is advised that you try these steps:

    1. A mismatch in the login details is most often the result of a switched on CAPS LOCK button. If this is the case, switch it off before you proceed to re-enter the password.
    2. Try resetting your password using the Forgot Password button. Instructions to go about resetting the password will be provided via mail.
    3. If you are still locked out, use the Contact option to connect with our customer service. We will look into the problem and get back to you ASAP.

  • I have a problem with a client/worker. How do I go about it?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

EnquireKerala is just a platform that helps workers and businesses converge. We facilitate works but we play no part in it. In short, we don't engage ourselves in user conflicts.

Having said this, we encourage our users to engage in dialogue to resolve any grievance they might have against each other. If that doesn't do the job, it is advised that you employ a third person to mediate or begin legal proceedings.

No part of our involvement should be mistaken for any obligation that we have to you.

  • Why can't I view tradesmen responses to employers?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

Tradesman, employer conversations are totally confidential. This is to ensure that nobody is pressured or harassed by anyone in any way. Quotes too are confidential and the particular employer to whom the quote is addressed, is the only person who will be able to view the same.

  • How does “Request Quotes” work?

    Monday, 17 August 2015   admin

Once you submit a request for quotes, alerts will be sent to all businesses/tradesmen fitting the particular criteria that you have mentioned. These businesses/tradesmen can then login from their respective EnquireKerala accounts to submit their quotes. If you choose to share your contact details, you may also be contacted by bidders so that they get a clearer picture of what they are getting into. This will in turn be beneficial to you as you can avoid unnecessary haggling later on.

You can find the received bids in the 'Received Quotes' page. The bids will contain the rates as quoted by interested parties along with their Ratings. This will give you a fairly good idea of whom to hand over the particular job to.

You will also be provided contact details of interested parties so that you may contact whoever you select directly.

Note: We do not handle money transactions nor do we stand guarantee to any of our users.
